Editor review

Neon Spark is a touch-only arcade with thirty stages and a tight obstacle set. Each stage adds one new obstacle type on top of the base loop, and the loop itself is a guided-line input that follows your finger.

What works is the input fidelity. The line-trace responds within a frame or two and the obstacle hitboxes are honest, which is the right combination for a touch-first game. Lost runs feel like player error, not engine error, and that distinction matters at this difficulty band.

Three sessions across a week, mostly on a Toronto TTC subway commute. The thirty-stage cap fits one to two full runs per ride. Auto-save resumes mid-stage if you have to step off.

Where the design lands short is the desktop port. The mouse-drag input technically works but the gesture is not built for a mouse. Phone is the right device for this one. Three-and-a-half stars; the touch design earns the rating, the desktop port pulls it back.
